And Jiaoling Stalagmite Cave lies in Jiaoling Scenic Spot attributing to the karsts topography. It is really the outstanding crafts of the nature. The legends of ¡°Little Dragon dying in Linli Ditch¡± and ¡°The Goddess falling her carriage on Wangmu Pond ¡± bring the pleasant mysterious flavor to this area. Shimen Scenic Spot is deservingly praised as ¡°Small Mountain Huang¡± by visitors for there are all kinds of trees, bush and plants which look like spares, walls and so on. These compose a beautiful picture with the color of light yellow, jade green, strong red, etc. Yanshan Scenic Spot lies in the urban area of Boshan District. The Phoenix Mountain, that is Yanshan Park is one of the national forest parks covering an area of 1720 hectares. There is good view on the mountain: The Imperial Temporary Dwelling Palace clouding in the green forest is central axial symmetry and it is the most intact and largest ancient buildings in Zibo City. The site of the ancient Great Wall of State Qi winds its way along the mountain. Boundless of rocks form the sea of stones. These stones gather in different poses and with different expressions like billow for days on end. The sight of Tuanshan Valley is as bright and live as sea in spring and is as abundant and red as fire in autumn. Rock Painting Group shows the spirit of five thousand years of history of Chinese painting. Yanling Tower stands on the top of the mountain, looking around the panoramic sight of the city. The scenery on both sides of Xiaofu River is as beautiful as a picture. Birds Singing Forest covering an area of 12000 square meters is impressive and graceful. More than 80 sorts and 2000 birds are bred here. At the bottom of the mountain locates Yan Wenjiang Ancestral Hall established in the period of North Zhou(A.D.557), that is key provincial historical and cultural protection place. It enjoys a widespread reputation attracting visitors both home and abroad to sightsee and praise invariably. Boshan pottery has a long history. According to criticizing of a text, pottery in Boshan appeared in later period of Neolithic Age. By Song Dynasty, ceramic production had already been world famous for. Not only white glaze, blue and green glaze, dark glaze and various sculpture were very popular but ¡°raindrop glaze¡±, ¡°tea dust glaze¡± won world fame as well. During the course of the production, many ways such as rowing, picking, painting and decorating were adopted to make the art crafts more colorful and exquisite. Since Ming and Qing Dynasty, Boshan gradually developed into the center of production and the main market in Shandong Province and become one of the five major towns of porcelain in China. The products are sold not only throughout the country, but also to other countries in the world. The ceramic production of Bo Shan has form its own way for its innovation in term of porcelain quality, glaze color, modeling, decorating, etc. The principal products include ordinary daily ceramic, industrial ceramic, sanity ceramic, building ceramic and chemical ceramic, artistic ceramic and garden ceramic as well. In addition to these, there are electric ceramic and several of special ceramics. Milky white porcelain, ivory porcelain, gem porcelain, jade green porcelain, high quartz porcelain, ashes porcelain and poly-ashes porcelain all are the fine daily products of the innovation of technology. Artistic porcelain made from raindrop, carving porcelain, sculpture and colored painting pottery are the fine tradition of Bo Shan¡¯s splendor ceramics and also the achievement of modern craft technology. Such daily ceramics as milky white porcelain; high quartz porcelain, ashes porcelain and poly-ashes porcelain have been determined as serving porcelain by Ziguang Pavilion of Zhong Nanhai and the state council. The craft of hanging-plate with color painted, carved porcelain and sculpture are presented to foreign leaders when our state heads make their visit. Boshan colored glaze is the wonderful work in Shan Dong Province. The
history of production of colored glaze in Bo Shan is very long and better
known. In the years of Hong Wu of Ming Dynasty, the emperor¡¯s servants
set up ¡°Out Factory¡± to produce colored glaze for imperial family¡¯s use
such as ¡°blue and green curtain¡±. By the end of Ming Dynasty, the folk
colored glaze was produced and developed day by day, too. In the year
of Jingtai there were four big stoves in Xi Yejie Street to produce enamel
material. Before and after the period of Jiajing, the colored glaze products
such as pearl light, pearl rejecting, bed-curtain and mosquito net hook
and so on were made by the master of Bo Shan and gradually form the colored
glaze trade. In 1617(the 46th year of Wan Li), some people led by Sun
Yanshou initiated to organize the guild of colored glaze which is the
first organization in Yanshan Town. The colored glaze products returned
the transportation and sale to Beijing and the southern parts of China
besides selling in locality. |

In the period of Xianfeng of Qing Dynasty, there was a man named Zhang Dengke living in the south part of Da Jie Street. He worked as a chef in a rich merchant who ran a big store ¡°Zhentai Silk Store¡± in Beijing. This man was bright and capable and his skill in cooking is also superb known as ¡°First Chef in Bo Shan¡±. About up to the period of Guang Xu, Zhang Dengke who was more than fifties now got back to the hometown to recuperate due to illness but he recovered after a year. Knowing Zhang Dengke did well in cooking, some merchants in Bo Shan ran a restaurant named ¡°Qing He Ju¡± jointly with him in Shan Tou where the kiln industry was highly developed at that time. One day the shopkeeper of Zhentai Silk Shop came to Zhou Cun to buy goods and dropped on Zhang Dengke. It had already been the evening while the guest came to Qing He Ju. And the cooked food prepared in the restaurant had been sold out so there were no decent dishes to serve the guest. At the moment an idea came to Zhang¡¯s mind. He cooked a vegetable case-shaping dish using high-quality bean curd as the main material and putting the excellent tiny bean curd, dried shrimps, auricular into the ¡°bean curd case¡± which took on the look of golden yellow after colluding and owing. During the feast, the guest sang high praise for the dish and asked the name of the dish. After he told the truth of this course, he guest tasted again and escape his lips, ¡°Call it ¡®gold case ¡¯ for it is indeed like a gold case.¡± Another elegant guest present took on their conversation, ¡°According to the way to eat, it is more reasonable to call it as ¡®unpacking case and fetching treasure¡¯ than ¡®gold case¡¯¡±. From that on the dish of ¡°gold case¡± appeared on the table of the average family gradually. At the beginning, it was not very convenient to eat in a ¡°great case shape¡±. Zhang Dengke change it into several ¡°little cases¡± gathering in a ¡°big case¡±. Because this is a vegetable dish, people call it ¡°bean curd case¡± according to the local habit. Some descent people also call it ¡°unpacking case and fetching treasure¡± or ¡°gold case¡±. Boshan Roasted Meat: roasted meat is the renowned traditional cuisine in the area of Zi Bo. Jia Sixie, a famous agronomist lived in the period of North Wei Dynasty, wrote a work named ¡°Key Methods adopting in Qi area¡±. In this work he indicate ¡°roast and stew way¡±, that is to make pig extremely by ¡°wiping, washing, shaving and paring¡±, then open its belly and got out of the fire eternal organs and wash clearly. And then slow distant roast meat of fire and bake it to the color of amber like the real gold. In this way the meat will become more delicious and unusual. On the basis of ¡°roast and stew way¡±, Bo Shan developed a unique style of roasting meat in the modern time. Before 1905 Qian Zhenyuan, the owner of Yuan Xing Restaurant which was a good roast meat shop ¡°Yuan Xing Zhai¡±, found that the taste of the meat would be more tasty after being saut¨¦ed. So he turned the general timber into fruit wood fire to roast afterwards. Baked out in this way, the peel of the roast meat would be more crisp and tender with the fragrance of smell, oil but not greasy. Bo Shan Roast Meat soon gained the high reputation in the mountainous area. Later more than ten such restaurants for example, ¡°Xiang Shun Restaurant¡±, ¡°Yuan Xin Restaurant¡±, ¡°Hua Sheng Restaurant¡± came to run and the business of roast meat get up to prospect. The main method of cooking such meat is snack with cold drink or stewing soup with slices. Boshan Flaky-Pot: It is a traditional seasonal cooked food prevailing in winter and Spring Festival. It was said to be cooked by Su Xiaomei, a woman lived in Yanshan Town in the early years of Qing Dynasty. So it got its name of ¡°Su¡±(meaning ¡°flaky¡± or ¡°crisp¡± in Chinese). As much vinegar was adopted in cooking and with crisp and rotten characteristic. ¡°Su¡± or ¡°Flaky Partial¡± then was renamed ¡°the pot of crisp dishes¡±. The material of this dish is extensive and it is fragrant, crisp and delicious to eat. Because it is easy to do, it is widely spread among the average. The raw materials of it are Chinese cabbage, lotus root, kelp, frozen bean curd, chicken, duck, meat, fish sparerib pig proof that must put sequentially. Condiments are vinegar (to make raw material be more crisp and rotten), millet win (to except the fishy smell of urine) and sesame oil, soy sauce, spring onions, and ginger, Chinese prickly ash. When it is made, the hot fire is better at fist and then burns to meat and fish¡¯s bone crisply and rottenly with the document. It is completely cool from the fire eat and fetch at the same time.
